BMW M5 Touring (E34)

The BMW M5 Touring was launched in the marketplace with the technical model revision of the BMW M5 Series (E34) and was therefore equipped with the 340 hp engine right from the start. This also powered the sedan from 1992 onwards. It was a revised version of the S38 engine from the stable of Motorsport GmbH, a 3.8 litre six-cylinder inline engine with an individual throttle system and valve technology. From 1994 onwards, the BMW M5 Touring was also equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox and compound braking system for the front axle. A special limited edition of 20 units was produced for the Italian market, the BMW M5 Touring Elekta. Production came to an end in July 1995.
