EXPERIENCE HISTORY UP CLOSE.

Today, the BMW Museum serves as an architectural landmark of both Bayerische Motoren Werke and Munich’s cultural life. Since May 1973 the BMW Museum has welcomed visitors from all over the world with a fascinating and informative exploration of the more than 100-year history of the BMW Group, its brands and products.

Since it was re-opened in 2008, the BMW Museum has posted record visitor numbers year after year and is proud to be one of the most visited museums in Germany.

At the BMW Museum, you can experience the BMW brand from its beginnings to the present day in a more vivid, breathtaking and multifaceted way than anywhere else. Be surprised anew with every new room you enter: by vehicles, designs or prototypes that have made history. The BMW Museum is as varied as the model range.

Our current exhibition “Belle Macchine - Italian Design by BMW” is dedicated to the influence of Italian design on BMW and offers an exciting retrospective of the development of body design over the past decades.
