BMW 320Ci Coupé (E46)

The BMW 320Ci Coupé was the smallest six-cylinder coupé. It was launched in the marketplace in 1999. Initially, the coupé took over the six-cylinder inline engine from its predecessor but in a technically revised version (M52TÜ) in order to enable compliance with the Euro 3 exhaust standard. The engine was equipped with Double VANOS and additional catalytic converters in the exhaust manifolds. From 2000, this power unit was replaced by its successor (M54), which now had a displacement of 2.2 litres (instead of 2.0 litres) and delivered 170 hp (instead of 150 hp). The small six-cylinder coupé was undoubtedly popular and achieved a production run of around 51,000 vehicles, which were all produced at the Regensburg Plant.
