BMW 328 Roadster

The styling of the BMW 328 was still based on its sporty predecessors but the results of aerodynamic testing now exerted an impact on the shape. All contours were consequently designed to be significantly smoother and more streamlined. This was the first model to be based on a tubular spaceframe and it adopted the new curvaceous radiator shell that had replaced the flat radiators since the BMW 326. However, the most significant modification was provided by integration of the headlamps within the front wings. This modern countenance defined the styling of BMW up to the beginning of the 1960s.
