BMW Isetta 300 Export

When BMW introduced the modified Isetta "Export" at the end of 1956, changes to the visual appearance were complemented by a new chassis fitted with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers rather than mechanical friction shocks. The 300 cc engine still generated 13 hp and impressed with a lower maximum rev count compared to the 250 cc power unit. This exerted a particularly positive impact on interior noise and also delivered a better torque. These characteristics made the Isetta 300 Export the most popular version of the "cuddle coach" bubble car ("Knutschkugel") with more than 51,000 examples produced.
