BMW M5 (E34)

The BMW M5 (E34) was the second generation of the BMW M5. This was the first time there had also been a touring model (from 1992) to complement the sedan (from 1988). Numerous limited special editions were launched, accompanied by their own equipment packages. While this model was being produced, two major model upgrades were carried out. The first upgrade in 1992 brought additional engineering innovations and the second in 1994 also provided a facelift to the visual appearance. Production of the BMW M5 came to an end in August 1995. This was the last M vehicle with parts of the production process to be still carried out by hand. There was no successor for a period of three years until the launch of the BMW M5 (E39).
