BMW 507

The Roadster 507 was the star of the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show in 1955. One of the most beautiful automobiles in the history of BMW was created on the platform provided by the engineering of the 3.2 litre 502 sedan but packing increased power of 150 hp. The sports car was designed by German-American Albrecht Graf Goertz, achieving a top speed of up to 220 km/h, and it gave invaluable service to the image of the Bayerische Motoren Werke. However, it was not an economic success with only 251 units being built. This contrasts with its value today as a supremely expensive BMW classic car.
