The BMW 325i was available from 1985 and replaced the BMW 323i as the new top model in the series. With 171 hp, the built-in six-cylinder in-line engine (M20B25) with 2.5 liters of displacement offered a significant increase in performance compared to the BMW 323i (139 hp) and enabled speeds of up to 220 km/h. For the additional oil cooler, it had ventilation openings in the lower part of the front bumper, which makes it easy to distinguish from the "smaller" models. In addition, the BMW 325i had double tailpipes and a small spoiler lip on the trunk lid. Around 200,000 pieces of this modern classic, which is in great demand today, were produced by 1991.
