Two friends travelling to a very distant place on two BMW bikes that are just shy of their 50th and 90th birthdays respectively. It’s the sort of challenge that Andreas Seyffer and Klaus Bayerlein relish, quite undeterred by the advancing years of their trusty steeds. In 2018, they set out from Munich and rode all the way to what is almost Europe’s most westerly point – Cape Finisterre in the Spanish region of Galicia. It was a trip few would dare to undertake, especially considering the lack of a support vehicle. The result? A journey like in the good old days and a highly memorable adventure.
