1983: a time when magazine pages still ruled over web pages – and black-and-white lorded it over colour. Cue our subject: a copy of “Autozubehör Katalog von Auto-Ausstattung G. Völler KG”, an old tuning brochure of the kind typically found amid the debris of a dusty loft.
Whether there really was “enorme” (huge) potential for pimping a BMW 3 Series that already sported chromed wheel arches is up for discussion. And a radiator grille with squared-off headlights (Nr. 3068) – a fairly niche proposition even back then – would most likely garner “epic fail” status today.
