BMW 630CSi (E24)

In the USA, a version with intake-manifold injection (Bosch L-Jetronic) was supplied in parallel alongside the BMW 630CS powered by a 3.0 litre carburettor engine. The BMW 630CSi was equipped as standard with a three-way catalytic converter and delivered power of 178 hp (176 bhp) from a displacement of 2986 cc. The BMW 630CSi was only produced for a period of one year. Out of all the BMW models exported to the USA, this model had the weakest sales figures based on the number of units produced.
