BMW 3 Series Baur Topcabriolet (E30)

Before BMW produced its own full convertible in 1985 based on the second BMW 3 Series, customers were able to order the Baur Topcabriolet through BMW dealers. Coachbuilder Baur in Stuttgart created this convertible by modifying two-door sedans so that the entire roof could be opened in two parts but the side sections remained in place. A robust roll-over bar was installed to provide passive safety. Baur supplied all engine versions to order and produced a total of 14,455 Topcabriolet sports cars.
