BMW 5 Series (E28)

In 1981, the second generation of the BMW 5 Series (E28) was presented to the public. The language of design borrowed a great deal from the previous model and the first engines were also familiar from the BMW 5 Series (E12). The diesel versions (BMW 524d and BMW 524td) were added, as well as the BMW 525e as a particularly efficient model. In 1984, an M5 version was presented for the first time with a six-cylinder engine generating 286 hp.
