BMW 325ti Compact (E46)

In June 2001, the BMW 325ti was also launched in the marketplace as the flagship model of the second Compact generation together with the BMW 316ti. The vehicle was powered by a six-cylinder inline engine (M54B25), which delivered an output of 192 hp. Sheer driving pleasure was part of its DNA with the combination of the lightweight, agile body and the chassis tuned for athletic prowess. This was also reflected in the fact that the BMW 325ti was a frequent competitor in amateur motor sport after undergoing sophisticated conversions. As a result of the higher price tag and heavier fuel consumption, it was not really appreciated as an everyday runabout so that the number of units produced fell just short of 11,000.
