The BMW Z4 3.0i Roadster was the first model that customers were able to purchase from the new Z4 Series (E85). During the production run between 2002 and 2008, the roadster was equipped with two different engines, although from 2006 the automobile was only sold in the American market. It was completely replaced by the BMW Z4 3.0si in Europe. The high-quality materials used, such as chrome, aluminium and luxury leather, ensured that the interior had a sporty and elegant appearance. The sport mode (dynamic performance control) delivered even more dynamic driving pleasure. When activated, the throttle response of the powerful six-cylinder engine was changed and the electric power steering assistance was reduced.
