The BMW 530d was the most powerful diesel version of this BMW 5 Series generation. The BMW high-tech diesel with maximum power of 184 hp and common rail direct injection generated a high torque at an early stage thanks to an exhaust turbocharger with variable turbine geometry. As a result, the turbo lag often encountered was effectively completely avoided.
