The BMW 528i was the most powerful variant with a 6-cylinder gasoline engine when the BMW 5 Series was introduced. With a displacement of 2.8 liters, it produced 193 hp. The BMW 528i also has a differentiated intake system DISA. In 2000, the BMW 528i was replaced by the BMW 530i.
