BMW X5 (E5) model series

The BMW X5 was presented in the public arena in January 1999. It is the first SAV ("Sports Activity Vehicle") in the BMW model range and was successful right from the start. The vehicle was suitable for on-road and off-road driving. Despite a completely new driving feeling, particularly as a result of the high seat position, the BMW X5 continued to embody the aesthetic, sporty and safety values so typical of BMW. The series came to the end of its production run in 2006 and was then continued with the introduction of the second-generation BMW X5 (E70).
