BMW 315 Convertible Sedan

The roof of the still very popular body version was rolled together and fastened over the rear trunk with leather straps. This provided passengers with the best possible view skywards while also giving them a high degree of protection against the headwind. The new engine was equipped with two Solex carburettors, which drew their fuel from a 35 litre tank located in the engine compartment. The side camshaft was driven by a duplex chain. Between April 1934 and September 1936, almost 1,400 convertible sedans were built.
