BMW 3.0 CSi (E9)

BMW also presented the BMW 3.0 CSi as a version with electronically controlled injection in the model series of Grand Coupés (Große Coupés) (E9). In contrast to the carburetted version BMW 3.0 CS, the engine of the BMW 3.0 CSi delivered 20 hp more and achieved the prestigious power of 200 hp. Apart from the injection system, the 3.0 litre engines (M30B30) were essentially identical. Similar to the other models in the series, the BMW 3.0 CSi was in the sporty segment at the top of the range. Until production came to an end in 1975, 8,100 units of this exclusive BMW were built.
