BMW 3.0 CS (E9)

The BMW 3.0 CS replaced the BMW 2800 CS in April 1971. The power of the model equipped with a 3 litre engine was increased by 10 hp to 180 hp by comparison with its predecessor. The drum brakes on the rear axle were also replaced by disc brakes. Manufacture of the BMW 3.0 CS continued until production of the model series E9 came to an end. The BMW 3.0 CSi was a version of this model with electronic injection.
