BMW 316i (E36)

The third model generation of the BMW 3 Series was launched on the market in the autumn of 1990 initially as a four-door sedan. The complete redevelopment was a significant improvement in all respects compared with its predecessor and won over an expectant BMW 3 Series customer base right from the start. The BMW 316i has traditionally been the entry-level model in the 3 Series and was included in the product range as a sedan until 1998, initially with 100 hp, and with 102 hp from 1993. The braking system is also an identifiable feature of the BMW 316i. The standard version only has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
