BMW 316i Coupé (E36)

The BMW 316i Coupé is the entry-level version with the 1.6 litre engine taken from the sedan. In contrast to the other power plants, it only has two valves for each cylinder and therefore involves fewer moving parts. This makes it particularly economical. The BMW 316i Coupé is also recognisable by the braking system. The car was equipped as standard with disc brakes only at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
