BMW 2002 turbo

The fastest BMW in the 02 Series was launched at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1973 - the legendary 2002 turbo. An exhaust turbocharger, the first in a European production car, gave the already muscular injection engine of the 2002 tii additional power of 40 hp. The BMW 2002 turbo had a top speed of more than 210 km/h but it was launched during the oil crisis and therefore remained rather marginal.
