BMW 2002 tii

The 2002 tii was styled in a particularly sporty design and in 1971 this type joined the multifarious versions of the BMW 02 Series. The petrol engine already familiar from the BMW 2000 tii with mechanical Kugelfischer petrol injection also generated 130 hp in this car. The two-door automobile weighed 160 kg less, and this machine achieved highly impressive performance. In spite of a price tag that was around DM 2,000 higher, almost 40,000 customers purchased this "wolf in sheep’s clothing" ("Wolf im Schafspelz") with a top speed of 190 km/h, which was also available in a touring version.
