The BMW 2000 CS was a stylish modern coupé based on the successful sedan of the New Class. It was powered by a new four-cylinder inline engine with a displacement of 1990 cc which was equipped with two Solex carburettors and generated power of 120 hp at 5500 rpm. Alongside its sporty driving performance attributes, the coupé also impressed with its exclusive interior and the upscale equipment of an elegant touring car. The production volume of the BMW 2000 CS was limited to 9,999 units.
