BMW 2000 C / BMW 2000 CA

A supplement to the sporty BMW 2000 CS was provided by the BMW 2000 C. As a result of installation of a single Solex downdraught carburettor, the power pack generated around 20 hp less than its athletic brother. The main sales argument for the BMW 2000 CA was its convenient automatic transmission with a central lever to select the driving modes. Between spring 1967 and summer 1968, customers also had the opportunity to acquire the BMW 2000 C as a version with manual gearbox at a more favourable price. However, only 443 units of the manual version were sold. A total of 3,692 units of the BMW 2000 C / CA were manufactured.
