The BMW Coupé is a 2+2 seater from the BMW 700 Series with a top speed of 125 km/h. It featured sporty driving performance, and more exclusive equipment by comparison with the sedan. From August 1960, BMW offered the markedly sportier BMW 700 Sport with an even more powerful engine generating 40 hp alongside the basic model. Starting in autumn 1964, the coupé was cloaked in the extended body that had adorned the sedan since 1962. The new designation of BMW LS Coupé was also conferred on it.
