BMW 501 Convertible

A total of 44 convertibles, including seven four-door convertibles (produced at the start of 1955) were manufactured at coachbuilder Karl Bauer in Stuttgart between 1954 and 1956. At least 14 convertibles were modelled on the BMW 501 A, the other 30 models were based on the BMW 501 six-cylinder. These hand-built cars were produced to order and marketed through the BMW dealer network. They numbered among the most exclusive automobiles of the post-war period.
