The exterior appearance of the BMW 327/28 Sports Coupé was identical with the BMW 327 Sports Coupé. It featured elegant, harmoniously flowing lines. A tasteful two-tone paint finish and a gently sloping tail with the option of partially skirted rear wheels made the design one of the most elegant that German coachbuilding had to offer at the time. The coupé was launched a little later than the convertible. Between October 1938 and October 1939, only 86 examples were produced at the Eisenach factory.
