The convertibles were supplied as two-door or four-door versions and they played a key role in the new 326 model series. In spite of the very high price tag, more than 5,000 units were sold. Customers very much appreciated the impressive appearance of the vehicles, which were generally provided with a two-tone finish. The generous arrangement of space and the tasteful interior styled in luxury leather were in tune with the taste of a financially well-heeled and sophisticated clientele. The bodies for the convertibles were crafted by coachbuilder Autenrieth in Darmstadt.
