At BMW, the standard chassis of the Army Weapons Office was body painted as a three or four-seater tourer. The biggest disadvantage of the technically extremely complex vehicle: the heavy weight of almost 1.8 tons. Despite technical refinements, the BMW 325 could therefore only be used to a limited extent on difficult terrain; on the road, it did not exceed 80 km/h. Externally, the massive Kübelwagen is not recognizable as a BMW: there was no white-blue trademark to be found.
