BMW Z3 Coupé 2.8 (E36)

The BMW Z3 Coupé 2.8 was supplied from 1998. It was fitted with the M52B28TU engine, an inline six-cylinder engine with a displacement of 2.8 litres. The power plant featured double VANOS, a variable valve control system for inlet and outlet valves. The technology provided better torque and performance. The basic equipment of the BMW Z3 Coupé 2.8 was upscale. In actual fact, after the M Coupé it was the largest engine available at the time. The visual appearance of the BMW Z3 Coupé had already been refreshed with the model upgrade measures that were also implemented for the roadster models. The BMW Z3 Coupé 2.8 was produced at the American Spartanburg Plant until May 2000. After that, it was then replaced seamlessly by the successor model BMW Z3 Coupé 3.0i (E36).
