BMW L7 (E38)

From 1997, BMW produced the exclusive limousine model BMW L7 (E38) with a length of nearly 5.40 metres to cater for customers with the very highest aspirations for driving comfort and luxury. The L7 was equipped with every conceivable extra including all-leather upholstery. The limousine was based on the BMW 750iL powered by a 12-cylinder engine although the chassis was 25 cm longer behind the B-pillar and the interior offered plenty of space for the passengers sitting in the rear. The BMW L7 had a top speed of 250 km/h and production lasted until 2001. This luxury automobile was manufactured individually in small numbers and the realisation of special customer requests even extended to such unusual features as a fax machine located in the glove compartment.
