BMW Isetta 250 Standard

BMW conquered the hearts of countless customers with the BMW Isetta. Like no other car, it is a symbol of the Economic Miracle in Germany. The Isetta was originally developed by Italian automotive company Iso based in Milan, and from 1955 it was built under licence by BMW. The most important change compared with the Italian original was replacement of the original two-stroke engine by the 250 cc motorcycle engine taken from the BMW R25/3. Although the 12 hp generated by the power pack accelerated the Isetta to only 85 km/h, more than 26,000 examples of the first Isetta version were sold within the space of just under two years.
