BMW Isetta 250 Export

At the end of 1956, BMW launched a modified version of the Isetta under the designation "Export". The continuous roof line typical of a coupé permitted installation of sliding windows and gave the Isetta a more streamlined and elongated appearance. By contrast, the 250 cc motorcycle engine familiar from the Isetta Standard was taken over without any changes. The "Export" stimulated new Isetta sales and 47,636 motorists opted to purchase the revised 250 cc version.
