BMW 850Ci (E31)

The BMW 850i with initially unchanged technology was marketed under the designation BMW 850Ci from 1992. A model update was carried out at the same time as the renaming, which mainly improved the interior. A technical change was only implemented in autumn 1994. The BMW 850Ci was provided with a version of the V12 engine (M73B54) enlarged to 5.4 litres. This increased the power to 326 hp and the maximum torque went up to 490 Nm.
