BMW M5 Sedan (E39)

The BMW M5 (E39) was produced exclusively as a sedan. There was a prototype for a touring model but this remained a one of one. The exterior was sporty but discreet. In spite of the larger dimensions than the M5 (E34), the M5 (E39) was only 70 kg heavier due to consistently lightweight construction. The exterior appearance was particularly recognisable by its front and rear apron and four exhaust tailpipes, the exterior mirrors and twin-kidney grille with chrome bars.
