BMW M5 Touring (E34)

The BMW M5 Touring was the first Touring model from the stable of Motorsport GmbH. It was introduced in March 1992. The idea was to combine the practical properties of an estate car with the athletic prowess of an M automobile. The engineering of the sedan was packed into a Touring body with only minimal modifications. It served a very small market niche for high-performance estate cars and only 891 units were built. This car therefore has a place on the list of the rarest M automobiles ever built. Production came to an end in July 1995.
