The opulent BMW 335 Convertibles left nothing to be desired when it came to performance or the elegance of the leather-upholstered interior. The car was supplied in two-door and four-door versions. Naturally enough, the large convertibles were ideal for prestigious appearances. It's therefore not surprising that senior officers of the German Army (Wehrmacht) favoured the purchase of a staff car like this while sales to private customers were drastically restricted. Many of these vehicles did not survive harsh wartime use. A total of just 118 two-door convertibles were produced.
