An advanced type that had undergone further development was added to the product range as a replacement for the two-seater convertible: the sports convertible. The vehicle developed by Reutter was based on the shape of the 315/1 sports car. It was styled with the long tail tapering downwards. This exuded an aura of sporty athleticism even when the car was standing still. The high doors with wind-up windows and the perfectly closing roof were, however, clear signals that this was a sporty and simultaneously comfortable touring car.
