BMW 7 Series (E38)

In 1994, the third generation of the BMW 7 Series came onto the market. The design of the predecessor was given a sensitive revision. The eight-cylinder engine became the standard for the model series, while the 12-cylinder petrol engines continued to define the benchmark in the luxury class. Alongside six-cylinder petrol engines, six-cylinder and eight-cylinder diesel engines were also supplied at the top of the BMW range for the first time. In addition, a small series powered by hydrogen was also launched. Like its predecessor, the BMW 7 Series (E38) was also supplied in a long-wheelbase version, as well as in the form of an exclusive, stretch luxury limousine model L7. A total of 327,598 units of the 7 Series (E38) were produced.
