BMW 7 Series (E32)

In September 1986, the second generation of the BMW 7 Series (E32) was presented to the press. The engineering and technology were by no means the only impressive aspects. The combination of luxury, sportiness and environmental compatibility was packaged in a compact and elegant style, and this combination gave the BMW 7 Series a distinct profile by comparison with the competition. This was the automobile with the highest sales figures in its market segment. Around 311,000 vehicles were sold. Furthermore, more than 6,000 BMW 7 Series automobiles were supplied as CKD kits to Malaysia and South Africa for assembly in the destination countries.
