BMW 328i Touring (E46)

When the Touring models in the BMW 3 Series (E46) were launched in 1999, the BMW 328i Touring was the most powerful version. It was powered by a six-cylinder inline engine (M52B28TÜ) with a displacement of 2.8 litres and delivered an output of 193 hp. The variable Double VANOS and additional catalytic converters in the exhaust manifolds complied with the Euro 3 standard without any loss of power compared with the predecessor model (BMW 328i Touring E36). In 2000, the BMW 328i Touring (E46) was replaced by the BMW 330i Touring (E46). A completely new engine was installed in this vehicle with an increased displacement. The BMW 328i Touring was only available in European markets and only around 4,600 units rolled off the assembly line in Regensburg.
