The theme for International Museum Day 2019 could also be displayed above the entrance to the BMW Museum. After all, “The Future of Living Traditions” is a perfect way to describe a place where the past, present and future of automotive history are combined.
Therefore, in celebration of International Museum Day on the 19th May, we will present “Expert Talks on Topics from 100 Years of Victories and Records”. Every hour, experts will discuss specific exhibits, and their significance over the course of time, during a 10-minute presentation.
Pay us a visit and learn more about the legendary BMW 700 cult car, the fascinating history of the ProCar race, and other highlights from BMW’s history.

Until the beginning of 2020, the BMW Museum’s focus will be on electromobility, carbon, battery technology and renewable raw materials. A range of topics, spread around 30 stations, will highlight the diversity of electromobility, as well as the aspects of sustainable material selection and production and the challenges of emission-free mobility in the future.
Guided tours take place at 12.30 pm and 4.30 pm. Registration is only possible on site.
Don’t worry, little ones won’t miss out on the fun! Entertainment is provided in form of a small quiz, which guides children through the complete exhibition. There is also the opportunity to participate in a prize draw to win two places for the “Night at the Museum” event on 27th July 2019.
