A MAGICAL STEP BACK IN TIME – GOODWOOD REVIVAL.

The 20th Goodwood Revival celebrates the great era of motor racing after the war from 1948 to 1966. Initiated in 1998 by the Duke of Richmond (formerly Lord March), today it the world’s largest historical motor racing event with a completely unique atmosphere. Even the backdrops and clothing of the spectators correspond to that great age in which, once in a while, small garage owners could challenge famous brands to a duel. With often astonishing results.

The BMW Group Classic will, of course, contribute some real highlights. Alongside a speedy Gran Turismo like the BMW 503, the Roll Royce Silver Cloud III from the movie “Blow Up” will be on show. Visitors will also be able to marvel at another movie star, the Mini Cooper S, which was seen next to Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau in “A Shot in the Dark”. Above all, however, the spotlight will be clearly on a white BMW 507, once driven on the German motorways by “The King” Elvis Presley during his military service there. The remarkable discovery in a barn in California has long since been restored to its original splendour.

Two BMW R57 Compressors and a BMW R 5 await in our bike paddock. In addition, a BMW R 3 will be showcased whose genuine vintage patina reveals a lot about its colourful history. An active driving highlight will come in the form of Charlie Cooper and Jörg Müller who will fittingly head to the race track with a Mini Cooper S and prove that it shouldn’t be underestimated today as it was back then.

The Goodwood Revival starts on 7th September and continues until the 9th September 2018.
