JUST LIKE IN YESTERYEAR – MOTORWORLD CLASSICS BERLIN.

Motorworld Classics Berlin celebrates classic mobility in all its diversity. Famous marques and a host of clubs present veritable treasures of automobile heritage. The exhibits range from small cars for ordinary people to dream automobiles of which only a few examples were built. The BMW Art Car M1 from the BMW Museum is a perfect foil for these venerable beauties. Pop-art icon Andy Warhol transformed this particular automobile into a work of art. Precisely 40 years ago, the M1 was presented to an admiring public. This year, Andy Warhol would have celebrated his 90th birthday – a very good reason to salute these two icons at the same time.

Live music and a show programme tailored to past eras will create a fantastic atmosphere at the car park for classic cars under the radio tower. Some very special motorcycle highlights await two-wheeler fans in the “machine room”, and the parts market has grown once again. The live auction held by prestigious auction house Coys of Kensington will also be an exciting highlight for visitors who do not feel moved to bid.

Motorworld Classics will take place immediately before the opening of the BMW Art Car exhibition “Rolling Sculptures” in the BMW Museum, which opens its doors on 10 October. Additional information on “BMW M1 Group 4, 1979” is available on the website of the BMW Museum.
