The BMW 730d was the model for all those BMW 7 Series customers who wanted to reduce fuel consumption and, most importantly, achieve a significant increase in the range for longer journeys. The 6-cylinder inline engine with Common Rail diesel direct injection and variable turbine geometry was adequate for the customary performances without a noticeable turbo gap.
