BMW Isetta Standard

The first version of the "Motocoupé" microcar was designated the BMW Isetta Standard, as manufactured from spring 1955 to the beginning of 1957. The egg-shaped bubble car was developed by the Italian company Iso based in Milan and was built under licence by BMW, powered by a 250 cc motorcycle engine and benefiting from minor visual modifications. By February 1957, nearly 42,000 Standard Isetta units had rolled off the production line.
