If the size of a car means little to you, but driving fun absolutely everything, there’s a good chance you’ll be a classic Mini driver. And should enjoying this pleasure in the company of others sound like a plan, packing a tent and heading off to Italy for a holiday break on 20 – 29 May ought to be on your radar. The Arno Valley south of Florence – the Norcenni Girasole campsite, to be precise – will host the latest in the line of legendary Mini Meetings in 2023. If you’ve been to one of these events, you’ll have been talking about it for a long time after. And they always pull in the crowds, so reserving early is advised. 

You may also like to make the journey there an experience in itself, in which case the route from Cernobbio to Valdarno will provide the perfect road-trip to the IMM. The fun gets underway on 20 May at Villa Erba on the banks of Lake Como. Four richly varied days then lie in wait, taking in Verona, Modena and Florence en route to your destination. Needless to say, there are plenty of attractions to indulge in along the way, such a trip to the Panini Museum or a wine-tasting in the Valpolicella region.

It all culminates in the shared joy of the IMM Weekend in Figline Valdarno on 25 – 29 May. The spacious four-star Norcenni Girasole campsite provides a great venue for some proper partying. And few do it better than a high-spirited ensemble of classic Mini drivers.
